The bridges of Madison County was nominated for Academy Award for best actress (Meryl Streep), to Oscar and also had six wins and six other nominations. Sean Penn tells a story recently, when he took the stage at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to present his friend Clint Eastwood with the Modern Master Award. The film was directed by Clint Eastwood, produced by Kathleen Kennedy, and he and the cast included two amazing actors themselves, and Meryl Streep Clint Eastwood.
